Merlin the wizard

Merlin is always seen as the wizard with a long white beard and a pointy hat in childerns stories and movies. Merlin from the Arthurian Legend was nothing like the popculture Merlin now. Somehow he carried over from being the person who solves, or more like causes problems in tales of the Arthurian legend such as Le Morte D'Arthur, to being the cheerful wizard who grants wishes and can tell you your future.


This flyer is an example of how the character of Merlin has come to be a magical wizard know for tricks more than his original belonging in the Arthurian Legend.(1)
