Sir Kay was the foster brother of Arthur and the son of Ector in the Arthurian Legend. He is described as being a very tall man, and in some stories is said to have magical powers. Kay had a crule and violent nature, but was loyal to Arthur. He married Andrivete, daughter of King Cador of Northumberland. There are several different ways Kay dies according to which version of the Legend you read. In some versions he is killed by the Romans, in others he dies in the war against Mordred.(1)
